There will be NO weekly strategy call tonight. Please take the time this week to fill out the survey we distributed and join us next week to review the results and to learn about our plans for the inauguration!
Monday’s presidential debate, the third and last between President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, featured a forceful and articulate defense of Obama’s foreign policy. That was no surprise. What was surprising was that it came from Romney.
That seemed to annoy the president โ who was prepared to rebut his opponent’s previous, more bellicose pronouncements. But the ever-shifting Republican nominee tacked even closer to the moderate middle than he did in the debate devoted to economic policy.
On Saturday September 29th, the Missouri Chapter of Black Women for Obama, led by Carnika Turner, held its first Town Hall meeting at the Brush Creek Community Center in Kansas City Missouri. The featured speaker was Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II, who spoke at length about the issues in this election and why it’s important to support President Obama. Stay tuned for the full video of speeches from the event – congratulations, BWFO Missouri!

About BWFO
Black Women for Obama is a grass roots organization dedicated to the re-election of Barack Obama in 2012. In the 2008 election, we played a pivotal role, especially in the southeast, canvassing and volunteering, and we plan to do so nation-wide in the months leading up to the 2012 election as well.
Joining the organization is free - click here for more information, or call us at 404.692.5251.
We are the voice of black women around the nation, who believe that America needs President Obama to stay right where he is.
